- Determine if employee
is eligible; be sure to read the
Hiring
Credit Info page first before proceeding to the next
step
- Have employee complete
the EZ Hiring
Credit Preapplication
- If eligible, obtain the
appropriate documentation (only one item needed) -- such as,
a DD214 copy, if a veteran; a household bill if verifying
address to be within a TEA, etc.
- The One
Stop Centers for Business and Workforce Development can
assist you with the vouchering process. Please don't
use the excuse of no time; we have made the process as
simple as possible....we will even do all the work for
you.....just check out the
Hiring
Credit Update to see what other local businesses are
taking advantage of the program....any of them can tell you
how easy it is.....
- To complete the
process, contact the
EZ
Manager to arrange a meeting or the One Stop Centers
-
New
procedures now require a $10 fee per voucher application
that was implemented by SB 1097
- A Hiring Credit Voucher
will be issued to those applications that are complete and
meet the criteria. The voucher is your verification
that the employee is eligible. Copies of all vouchers
are on file with the EZ Manager in the event you lose your
copy or it is damaged. The original voucher should be
kept with your tax records. Be sure your tax
accountant is aware that you have been issued enterprise
zone vouchers.
