Each of the jurisdictions within
the Yuba-Sutter Enterprise Zone have in place "one stop"
permit centers that consolidate the city/county permitting
departments in one physical location. At these counters,
project requirements and processes are outlined to prepare
environmental assessments, complete development reviews, and issue
building permits. Departments and staff available in the
centers include Planning, Building Inspection, Environmental Health,
and Public Works. The staff are well informed and can offer
direction to the customers with business or governmental
questions. Staff also coordinate Fire Department and other
agency requirements that may not be physically located in the
centers. Staff of the centers are committed to providing
professional treatment and an expedited review and approval process
regardless of the complexity of the construction project.
